COR Certified

Pioneer’s health and safety management system has been evaluated by a certified auditor and meets provincial standards in Alberta and British Columbia. These standards are established by Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

We utilize ComplyWorks for our compliance management requirements, enabling our customers to streamline their supplier management operations.

Government of Alberta’s Workers’ Compensation Board

The Government of  Alberta’s Workers’ Compensation Board is a voluntary program in which employer and employee representatives work collaboratively with the government to build effective health and safety management systems. WCB works to improve the health and safety of employees and reduce the social and financial costs of workplace injury and illness.

Alberta Construction Safety Association

The Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) is Alberta’s partner in construction safety. Through our training and certification programs, we work hard to connect a community of safety leaders in the province’s construction industry. Our members include all employers with a valid Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) account that falls under specified industry codes within the construction sector.

ISNet World

Pioneer has established a work-culture which revolves around well-established health and safety practices.  We take great care to ensure that our employees work in a safe and secure environment by:

•  Developing, maintaining and implementing company-wide health and safety policies and procedures.
• Providing mechanical and physical safeguards to prevent physical injury
• Conducting regular and scheduled inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions and practices, to control hazards, and to fully comply with the health & safety standards of every job.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained are in usable condition via proper inspection using Lockout/Tag Out procedures.
• Ensuring all employees are fit for duty.
• Empowering our employees to implement safe and healthy practices in the workplace by supporting on-going training and certification and promoting safe work culture.
• Investigating all near miss incidents promptly and thoroughly to find the root cause, developing and implementing corrective measures to avoid reoccurrence.
• Providing open, honest, and effective safety communication through everyday interactions and Toolbox meetings.
• Supporting managers and supervisors, and their commitment to the continued maintenance and improvement of health & safety standards for the benefit of our employees and customers.
